Update....
Again, must apologise for the long delay in updating my blog -time just seems to run away with me.
The Hawaiian Beach Party on Match 9Th was a HUGE success raising £542.50 in total for Leeds Autism Services, which for a small charity such as themselves will be a huge deal. The party was in association with Quiksilver, Freespirit and O'Neill with Quiksilver kindly donating a surf board for auction. Quiksilver have also expressed an interest in being involved in more student events so....watch this space. Some images from the party can be seen on my blog.
My placement at Quest PR is going well and I have learnt a lot, not what I thought I would learn but I have picked up some pointers none the less. I have now decided that I do not wish to work in Business to Business PR in the future which is one sector off my list - just another ten to go!
A new project is now being added to my portfolio in the form of a "student retention project". Every year a great amount of students drop out of university simply because they are not prepared enough for the enormous change in life and lifestyle. The guide is being aimed at being sent out with the rest of the university literature to better equip potential students for university life. I am the fundraising and promotions co-coordinator so am in the process of trying to find sponsorship to fund the project. The pilot of the guide is aiming to be ready for September so I will keep you updated on the progress.
